The digital viewing on Hemavi is a great way for you and your potential tenant to get to know each other, as well as for the tenant to see the room and your entire home on video before deciding whether to send a booking request or not.
Viewings on Hemavi are always digital through a video call, and there is always a Hemavi worker present to help make sure the viewing is efficient and smooth for both parties.
1. Preparing for the Videocall
LOCATION π‘ β You need to be in the apartment/house at the time of the viewing. This allows the tenant to see the room, the common areas, and form a good understanding of how the place suits their needs. Please make sure it is clean and tidy at home for the best results.
DEVICE π± β Since you will be expected to move around for the online viewing, it's best if you use your phone.
VIDEO CALL πΉ β You will receive a link to a digital meeting that can be opened on any mobile device. Keep in mind that to connect to the meeting from your mobile phone, you will need to download the 'Google Meet' app before the call. You also need to have a working camera, a microphone, and a stable internet connection on your mobile phone.
2. During the Videocall
INTRODUCTIONS π β Introduce yourself briefly.
ABOUT THE TENANT πββοΈ β What would you like to know about the Tenant? Let them tell you more about themselves.
HOUSE TOUR π‘ β This is where you walk around the apartment/house and show the room, the common areas, and what's included. Try to highlight everything that makes your room attractive to the tenant, such as how far it is to public transportation, grocery stores, or other important places.
HOUSE RULES π£ β Communicate the things that are important to you, such as when it should be quiet, cleaning, shared responsibilities, etc. This avoids unwanted problems in the future.
CONTRACT π β Discuss the length of the rental period, what is included in the rent (electricity, water, wifi, etc.), and any other details that could be relevant.
3. After the Videocall
WHATβS NEXT? π€¨ β If you like the tenant and they like you and the room, then the Hemavi worker, who is present during the video call, will guide you through the next steps such as the booking process, the rental agreement, and the details of moving in.
